OHP

Back in November, Danny was assigned to the Lake Patrol! We are very excited about this assignment. It has given him a great schedule during the school year for us to be a family in the evenings and on the weekends. Of course, summer time will be extremely busy and hectic for him, but we figure four months out of the year was very worth it. He is enjoying it very much and has not had much excitement to report yet................but that will change soon!

What could be cooler than Daddy bringing home a Tahoe????

Daddy bring home a boat on the back of his Tahoe!!!

The boys think this is so cool. And so do I!! I CAN NOT wait to go to work with him!!!

Fun week at school!

Canton had Funny Feet Day at Sonshine School. He originally wanted to wear one of my shoes, and one of daddy's. The night before, he got them out to "try them on". He couldn't walk in mine (a high heel) and I was ok with that!! ;) So he wore daddy's duty boots. He loved it!
Then, daddy came to Sonshine School and visited both of the boys' classes. They are learning about community helpers in their classes. They were so proud! Daddy brought whistles, frisbees and coloring books for the class and even let all the kids sit in the police car. They all had so much fun!

Callon's class made police hats. Aren't those SO CUTE??? Oh, wait- its the smile that is so cute!!!

Then Canton had Crazy Hair Day at Sunset. So of course, we colored his hair!!

Valentine's Day

I had a wonderful Valentine's with all my little sweeties at Sonshine School and then a fun evening with my own little sweeties at home. Nothing spectacular, nothing romantic, nothing expensive. But, perfect!

passing the time

Cailey was just passing the time, maybe she was journaling.... I thought she looked so big, so I started taking pictures. And she was loving the attention. I don't know why, but I just LOVE the middle picture. She is so pretty!!!

From Callon

Callon really wanted me to put these pictures on here. I couldn't refuse!!

Wearing Daddy's shoes... although it looks like Callon is wearing Daddy's shorts also, he isn't.

Sigh..........

I know, I know, something is always "wrong" with our kids. I was starting to question if it was because of me that they get hurt so often. You know, maybe I give them to much freedom, maybe I don't watch them well enough, maybe I dont child proof well enough etc etc etc.... BUT, it happens when they are away from me also!! So, I came to the conclusion that my kids are so adventurous and so active, that it is just going to be a part of our life! We get back up and go on.
The first picture is of Callon's black eye. He loves to run and he loves to run fast. I wasn't there, but he said he ran into a friend. This is 24 hours after it happened. I did not know if it would be worse or better tomorrow. The second picture was just cute. Cailey has pizza all over her face.

A Perfect Day

The weather was perfect for going to the zoo today. After we picked Canton up from school we went to the playground and ate a picnic lunch. Then we headed to the zoo. I decided to try going without the stroller, which would be my first time in almost six and a half years to go ANYWHERE without a stroller. Usually, when i do take the stroller I ask myself "why do I even bring this?" so today was the test. It was great! The kids had so much fun and Cailey LOVED it! She walked the WHOLE time and could barely walk as we were leaving. I would ask her if she wanted me to hold her and she would say "no, cailey walk" and "no, bye-bye". She wanted to stay longer. But, she did fall asleep on the way home. I absolutely had a great time and I want to thank my wonderful husband for letting me stay home with the kids and for the opportunity to have these priceless memories.
