Aug 3, 2010 continued

On Tuesday afternoon, we went whitewater rafting! It was so much fun!  Even though it was very chilly and it rained on us the entire 3 hours down the river, it was a blast. Nobody fell into the river accidentally. Poor Gina got bounced in the air and scared us all a little though. The boys all got in the river at one point. BRRRR!!!

On Tuesday morning, we just walked around and hung out around our condo. It was beautiful and peaceful and we just enjoyed being together! The best thing we ever did was taking the boys bikes! The worst thing we ever did was not taking sister's bike.  The plan was for all the boys to go on a bike trail and Danny was gonna rent a bike for him. And the girls were gonna go shopping (which is why we didnt bring hers along). But, of course we ran out of time for the boys to go on their ride. But, everything around our condo was walking distance, and we did a lot of walking, so it was great that the boys had their bikes! I can see us all taking ours next time.

On Monday, we went on a hike in west copper mountain. I have forgotten the name of the trail. But, it was beautiful!! We saw some old miner's cabins and a mining shaft.

Colorado Vacation- July 31 and Aug. 1, 2010

We had been looking forward to our Colorado Vacation for a long time! We left on Saturday (july 31) and drove to Castle Rock to stay the night there. This is us passing the time- 

we watched a few movies

played a few video games

took a few naps

we had some snacks (this is cotton candy)

we had Dairy Queen (why doesn't OK have these anymore?)

and we made it!!  

We had a great dinner in Castle Rock, did a little shopping and then swam at the hotel swimming pool.

Sunday Aug. 1 we headed to Copper Mountain and stopped at a little private fishing pond to let the kids fish. 

Even the girls could bait their own hooks!

There was a river near the pond that we enjoyed. It was beautiful!

Then we got to our lodge at Copper Mountain!! It was pretty chilly and rainy, but we had a heated wading pool, a heated pool, and a HOT HOT tub outside our door!
